About the Design - Animal Totem - Woodland Stag

The original painting is part of a series of Acrylic paintings celebrating the fauna of the British Isles linked to traditional ancestral wisdom. This design was inspired by an late summer evening visit to Royal Windsor Great Park where I came across several deer grazing between the oak trees. Deer are associated with Pride, Protection and Kindness to self,
