Decorative Wood Totem Pendant - Cernunnos

This is a hand crafted item made to order.

Each piece measures approx 5 - 7 cm in diameter with a cord length of approximately 8 cm. Every pendant is unique and is enhanced by the shape, ring pattern and colour of the wood on which the image is printed.

About the Design - Cernunnos

I have enjoyed the journey of this piece from initial thoughts to completion. As someone who is most at home in woodland, I wanted to try and capture the energy and spirit of the forest. Originally, this was going to be more of a green man figure but as I started to sketch him out antlers appeared and I felt transformed to a deeper more ancient ancient energy where I could smell the damp earth and hear the rustling of the leaves in the wind. Then the snake and torc appeared in my mind's eye. The God Cernunnos is the embodiment of primeval forest energies; the protector and Lord of Wild Things. He is linked to fertility, growth and horned animals such as the stag and bull. He brings in change and encourages you to connect with and to protect the earth.
