Wooden hand-finished coaster - Ogham - Alder

This is a hand crafted item made to order.

Each piece measures 10 x 10 cm. Each coaster is unique and as the designs are printed onto a natural product, some images show the grain and texture of the wood beneath giving a distressed vintage feel to them. This is part of their charm. Each coaster is sealed with a heat proof varnish ready for your hot drinks or cold beverages.

About the Design -

This piece celebrates the third of the Ogham Trees, Alder or Fearn.  

The Alder is native to the British Isles and is often found growing beside rivers and streams. In Celtic Tree Lore the Alder is linked to the Underworld and the realms of the fairies. Alder has a very gentle nurturing energy and spiritually it is a tree of protection from evil known to help bring a sense of calm and healing.
