Wooden hand-finished coaster - Ogham - Rowan

This is a hand crafted item made to order.

Each piece measures 10 x 10 cm. Each coaster is unique and as the designs are printed onto a natural product, some images show the grain and texture of the wood beneath giving a distressed vintage feel to them. This is part of their charm. Each coaster is sealed with a heat proof varnish ready for your hot drinks or cold beverages.

About the Design -

This piece celebrates the second of the Ogham Trees, Rowan or Luis

The Rowan is native to the British Isles and is known as the Mountain Ash or Witchwood Tree. It was sacred to Druids and Rowan groves were safe places where early Britons could search out the Gods. Rowan is linked to the fae and its wood it said to protect from evil. Rowan sprigs were hung over doorways to protect the house. Spiritually, Rowan is also linked with increased intuition and healing.
