Keepsake, Wooden, Hand Painted, Animal Blessing with Gift Box 7-9cm . - Hares

All the pieces in this collection celebrate our native fauna and their connections with the folklore and mythology of The British Isles.

The Hare frequently appears in Folklore and mythology. It was said that the hare could move between the spiritual and material realms bringing back the secrets. It is also associated with vitality and fertility. The White Hare is linked with The Goddess and traditional festival of Ostara in Spring.

Each piece is individually painted on a wood slice ( usually Pine or Birch) and measures approximately 7cm  to 9cm in diameter. Each wood slice is hung on twine and finished off with a wooden bead or hung on a picture hook. The back of each piece is stamped with my Tree of Life Logo. This item comes with a 10cm x 10 cm gift box as shown.
