This is my first piece of 2024 and features Huginn and Muninn, Odin's Ravens in Norse mythology. They would be sent out to survey the nine words and return to him bringing news and are therefore associated with insight. In Celtic traditions the raven is linked with healing, renewal and rebirth. This is particularly fitting as I started painting the original piece during storm Pia at the Winter Solstice as the sun began to return.
