Decorative Wood Totem Pendant - Chalice Well

This is a hand crafted item made to order.

Each piece measures approx 5 - 7 cm in diameter with a cord length of approximately 8 cm. Every pendant is unique and is enhanced by the shape, ring pattern and colour of the wood on which the image is printed.

About the Design - Chalice Well

This piece was inspired by a visit to The Chalice well and Gardens in Glastonbury, Somerset. It features the ancient Vesica Piscis symbol found on the well head cover which links spirit and matter. I have painted a solar eclipse within the symbol representing a time of rapid change. The circle is surrounded by water flowing from universe to earth. As the well water is iron rich, the stonework along the rills has turned to burnt orange in colour.  All the flowers and foliage bloom in July from the soft light fuchsia at the top to the dark, lush ferns and ivy at the base.
