This piece was inspired by a visit to the magical, twisted, oak woods at Padley Gorge in The Peak District National Park. It celebrates the essence of this wonderful woodland full of old, gnarled, twisting oak trees, majestic deer, a babbling brook, mossy boulders where miniature fungi can be found nestled between the moist, mossy tree bark. I've always been in awe of the mini fairy kingdoms that appear on the forest floor in Autumn.
